Many of us Get Nervous when we see anything that may impact the New Madrid Fault Zone....even the very words New Madrid are fearsome to those that know their History....

When sediments liquefy, they lose their structure and strength. During earthquake shaking, the individual grains of sand within a deposit collapse on each other and anything built on them can sink or collapse.

My advice would be to watch for ANY earthquake activity in this area and to keep some bags ready to go in the Vehicle . Are there people outside the zone you can visit for a few days?

Which side of the USA would you choose to be stranded on if Edgar Casey's prediction of an inland sea (Great Lakes to Gulf of Mexico) comes to pass and all of the Bridges are wiped out for who knows how long?
