X-Ray Flux Monitor captures X17 Solar Flare in progress

This is what an X17 Solar Flare sort of looks like on the GOES X-Ray Flux graph. Sept 7, 2005.

The graph registered lower, however the actual Flare was X17 and took place around Sunspot 798
