Demonstrators in Germany continued attempts to disrupt a controversial nuclear waste delivery on Friday by blocking rail tracks with a non violent, sit down protest.
Police officers removed peaceful protesters from tracks near Hassloch, approximately 100 kilometres from where the train crossed into Germany from France, in preparation for the train's approach.
In the early hours of Saturday, clashes continued as German police used a water cannon to spray anti nuclear protesters near a camp in Metzingen, close to the shipment's final destination.
Protesters claimed that the waste transports could endanger the environment and population if there were to be an accident en route.
