Xishui County in southwest China’s Guizhou Province was heavily hit by fierce rainstorm on Friday.
The dramatic landslide caused two sections of Xixin Highway to be blocked on Monday morning, leaving hundreds of cars all but stranded.
The rainstorm began late night on Sunday, continuing until early morning Monday, dumping almost four inches of rain.
After about two hours of clearing the highway, cars were able to move once again.
