State Emergency Service volunteers responded to more than 120 calls for help across the Perth metropolitan area overnight, as heavy rain caused flash flooding in parts of the city.
Perth was hit with more than 51 millimetres of rain in a matter of hours, inundating parts of the CBD and suburbs close to the river.
The Fire and Emergency Services Authority's Les Hayter says all 17 SES crews were called out to help.
"The front went through around nine o'clock we had the worst of the damage, we had about 120 calls for assistance, mainly for flash floods, and there was a little bit of roof damage.
The final three races at Gloucester Park were abandoned because of the heavy rain.
