Jamaica rocked by second moderate quake in 10 days

KINGSTON- The Jamaica earthquake registered approximately 4.7 on the Richter scale. The Jamaica quake hit around 10:00 am local time. According to the USGS, the epicenter of the quake was located 20 kilometers south of Black River, St Elizabeth at a depth of 21 kilometers. There were reports of the earthquake being felt in Negril, Montego Bay, Mandeville, and Santa Cruz. There have also been reports of damage to buildings in the Kingston area. Residents reported the quake as ‘powerful.’ –Now Public
